TRIing to cure cancer

( LeeBob's Crew at Light the Night 2009)

Matt and I have started a new journey this year. Some of you may know already, but we have signed up to be apart of the Team In Training Triathlon team with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We have been busy going to all of the events, learning about fundraising and meeting our team and coaches. Now all we have to do is train :) Neither of us have been very active lately, my excuse was the baby, but that can only last for so long. So we decided to do this together to raise money for the LLS. As many of you know my dad, Lee, is currently undergoing Chemo for ALL, a form of Leukemia. The race is on June 12. Almost a year from when dad found out he had cancer. I can't wait to have him at the finish line and know that all of our hard work has paid off and is helping our family and others like us to battle these awful diseases. We have a website where we are raising funds and have some information about the event. Please follow along our journey to keep up on what we are doing. There is information about how to donate to our cause on the website as well. We are excited!

Lately

This is what we have been up to! This little guy keeps us busy. He turned 6 months old last week. At his doctor's appointment he weighed 17 lbs 4 oz and was 27 inches long. Growing just as he should! He has also started to eat some baby food. Right now he really loves sweet potatoes and fruits. I have found that I like his banana baby food from Target probably more than he does! Would that be weird to buy that as a snack? Ha. So here are some pictures and a couple of videos of little Link lately. Enjoy.

Update

We have not done well at updating regularly and for those who check on us regularly, we apologize.

Lincoln is now just over 4 months old and life has been so good with him in it! We feel so blessed to have such a sweet, happy & usually laughing baby. We also understand that it means he will either be crazy when he gets older, or #2 will be the polar opposite.. :) So we are enjoying every minute with little Link!

Here are a few pictures of Lincoln recently.

Pictures

Here are some pictures of our little Link from the last couple of weeks. As of this morning he weighed in at a little over 9 pounds! He is growing so quick:( We are loving every minute of little Lincoln, even those at 4 in the morning. He is such a sweet baby that just wants to cuddle...so we do... all day :)

Some teaser photos from a shoot we had done when he was 5 days old. Our very talented friend Amanda took these. Her website Amandaelpersphotography.com has all her info if you are
looking for some great family photos.
