Indiana State Fair

My mom came down tonight and we headed to the State Fair for some fun and junk food. Mia, Tim, Mom and I made the mile treck to the Fairgrounds.( Matt had to work late ) We ate curlyfries, corn, porkchops, lemonade, dippin dots and tested fudge. This was a list of what everyone ate, we did not all eat everything, ha. It was fun, but we will have to go earlier next year to see more of the 4H animals.

We ran in Abby's mother and she took us around in her golfcart. She is the Director of the State Fair, and a very sweet lady.

Little Ones and Front Porch

Since our favorite nephew in the whole world lives so far away, we have to get our fix here. Luckly we live across the street from Matt and Andrea, who we have become pretty good friends with They have two kids Averie 4 and Rowan, their son just turned two and we were invited over for some cake and icecream. ( Trey you could have a playmate ;) It's nice to have kids around they are so much fun.

Monday night Nate , MIchaela and Lily came and stayed with us. It was soooooo good to see them. We were having so much fun we didn't take any pictures. We did however take some of Lily at Breakfast. She is such a sweet and smart little girl. She has grown so much since the last visit. She is now counting to 10 and singing songs. We enjoyed their visit so much. Time flew by way to fast. Wish they didn't live half way around the world :(

This is for you Kathy. Matt and I painted the front porch the other night. When we moved in the porch was in need of some TLC. We will show some pictures in the post we'll do about the house. We power washed it clean and put the first coat of paint on. I did that with the intentions of painting the checkerboard pattern soon after. 3 months went by, and life got busy. Finally on Sunday we got motivated. After hour or so of measuring and taping this is what we ended up with. Not so much the original plan, but we like it none the less. Much better than the crappy porch it was before. Our own little cottage. :)

Jeremy Camp Concert

Jeremy Camp was playing at the state fair this year, and Abby, being the sweet girl she is, got us back stage passes and free tickets to the concert. So before the show Eric, Abby, Wayne, Matt and I waited by the gate and were escorted backstage where we got to meet Jeremy. It was a quick meet and greet, but he was very nice and we were very glad to meet him. Casting Crowns opened for him. It was a great show and we all had a great time. Thank you Abby and Cindy for hooking us up!!

Lisa and Andrew Visit

A couple of weeks ago Lisa and Andrew came to visit. Cousin Justin who is on leave from the army came and stayed with us for a night as well. A great time was had by all. Lot's of time was spend in Broad Ripple and on the front porch. We even had a front porch party. We love having family come and stay with us. It's never long enough.
