Gaub Babies

So for those of you that haven't been following the Gaub babies at

www.carepages.com/carepages/GaubGirls2

Natalie's sister Lisa had her twin girls on June 10th in Philadelphia. My company purchased a piece of equipment a few months ago that needed picked up and it happened to be in 20 minutes from Andrew and Lisa. We worked it out to take one of my company trucks so we could get a free trip to Philly and the company could get the equipment. What seemed like a great plan really turned out to be a long trip home. To make a long story short, it took us 40 hrs to make a 9 hr trip home. We broke down 3 times and got towed all 3 times to Chevy dealerships. (The first 2 times I guess they just couldn't figure out what was going on) We ended up staying an extra night at a hotel and still didn't get home until 1 AM on the 3rd day. Needless to say we were tired and frustrated. Here is a summary of the trip home:

Us broke down at midnight after we coasted out of the tunnel through the mountains in PA.

But we did have an awesome time while we were there. We got to hang out with Nora a lot since she was home. We had to visit little Ella everyday at the hospital. Ella is supposed to be home on the 11th as of our last update but you can follow their story on the link above. Here are some pictures of the little ones:

Nora (sorry Nora, we need more pictures of you)

In no way with this post give you a good understanding of what they all have gone through. The girls have been very strong and have gone through way more than the average person already. Feel free to check out their story and we will let you know when they get a new blog after Ella is released.

Cubs Game

We made a trip up to my favorite place on earth on June 22nd to see the Cubs play the White Sox. We hung out at the Cubby Bear with Rhett before the game. Problem was that the game got changed from TBD to a 7 PM Central time game which got us back home about 4:30 AM on Monday and I was at work by 8. It was worth the trip to see the Cubs sweep the Sox. I am saving my money to hang out in Chicago when they play in the World Series this year!

Dogs

So we decided on the name Nixon for our new puppy. She has been a handful for us and is growing so fast. She is the same height as Nevada now but just skinnier still. The vet said they wouldn't be surprised if she gets to be 50-60 lbs. We'll see how it goes!
